Listing the cuts [he makes in Wagner's] Tristan und Isolde]: Act I, nothing; Act II, a cut in the Duo; Act III, two small cuts "pour soulager un peu le ténor;" saying he does not know the part cut from the Duo and is too busy to learn it, asking him to tell Mottl how happy he is to sing Tristan under his direction, outlining his travel plans, etc.
